What is Trail Making Task A?
In Trail Making Task A, numbers are scattered across the page. Draw a line connecting them in order (1, 2, 3, and so on) as quickly and accurately as you can. It is used to practice visual scanning, attention and processing speed. Similar tasks are often called trail making tests.
How to choose a level
Start with 1–10. When it feels easy, move on to 1–15, 1–20 and 1–25. Once Task A is comfortable, try Trail Making Task B, which switches between numbers and letters.
Tip: Write down the time taken and the number of missed items on each sheet, so you can see changes from day to day.
